Great chemical auditorium of SPbU is a wonderous place. It is located in the old building completed in 1894 by and initiative launched by Dmitri Mendeleev himself. The oldest edition of the Periodic table ordered by Dmitri Mendeleev in 1876 is still hanging over the chalk board. It’s modern edition is also accessible in a special interactive format. It is located in the renowned SPbU’s Main building’s corridor — longest university’s corridor in the world. Gallery’s ancient cabinets hold unique tomes from the University’s library while walls are decorated with the portraits of distinguished scientists.
