At the beginning of the 21st century the exploration of Arctic is affected by new scientific and geopolitical aspects. These researches and explorations regained their actuality in connection with development of oil and gas deposits located on arctic shelf near Siberian coast.
The film tells of implementation of Russian Arctic strategy, introduces the work of modern scientific expeditions in Kara Sea and Arctic Ocean and Russian polar explorers in northern latitudes.
